2/5. i mean, i found it very memorable, but i didn't think it was very good. the idea of future/wild-west was pretty contrived, and we never got a good introduction to why the hell 500 years in the future looked like that. (dark angel was better than that.) some of the characters were great (jayne, kaylee, shepherd), but most were under-explored (inara, mal) or downright forgettable (walsh, that first officer lady). and the scripts and plotlines weren't up to my expectations coming from joss whedon and jane espenson. the reavers are very interesting, and i kept wanting more exploration of them -- the way a sci-fi show should do it. and there are a lot of places where it falls down for sci-fi. so, yeah: 2/5, ok.

Huh... I keep going back to it as better than the new BSG. I want to watch it again... whereas BSG has just gotten boring. I want them to find earth already, have the shoot out and end it.

i totally agree with patrick. this whole season has been deeply metaphysical, and it's going to go a lot further that way in the last half. i can understand how it might be boring, though.

and i want them to find earth, too! then we get Troy, Dillon, and Doctor Zee - all in Galactica: 1980!!!

they should find earth in the late 1980s and then have to extract whales from san francisco somehow to defeat the cylons. it can be full of wacky interactions between the futuristic crew of gallactica and the unsuspecting '80s americans.

lulz. I don't really like sci-fi tv, and the whedon-esque twee of it bugged me a lot.
